The Problem
Despite being one of the main drivers of the Brazilian and global economy, agribusiness still faces significant challenges in the management and organization of its operations. Many producers and cooperatives deal with complex, unintuitive systems that lack practicality or transparency in presenting information. With the constant advancement of technology and management software, the lack of solutions that truly meet day-to-day needs in a simple, accessible, and efficient way has become a problem.

01. DISCOVERY

Competitive Analysis

Before diving into the design process, I explored existing agricultural management platforms to understand what works well and where there are opportunities for improvement. I focused on solutions that offer clear tools, practical usability, and reliable support for farmers and cooperatives.

After a broad analysis, I selected five key apps for deeper investigation, mixing both international and Brazilian tools: Tend, MyFarm, Aegro, SSCrop and Perfarm.

After testing the tools and exploring user feedback on app stores and websites, I identified common pain points:

  • • Outdated visual interfaces that lack modern design standards and intuitive navigation.
  • • Fragmented functionalities: users often need to rely on multiple platforms to manage different aspects of their farm (one for finance, another for field tasks).
  • • Lack of customization based on crop type, region, or farm scale.

User Persona

A user persona is a fictional yet realistic presentation of your ideal user, based on user research and real data. It helps designers, developers and stakeholders understand your user's needs, behaviors, goals and pain points.

Levi, 32, is a rural farmer looking for more practical digital solutions to manage his business. He recognizes the potential of technology to automate daily tasks in the field, but often encounters complex, unintuitive software that doesn't meet his real needs for simplifying farm management.
